80 !!!

I shot 80 !!!
And my dad was there to witness it.

My parents were here for a week and a half and I got to golf with my dad at Bear's Best three times. The first round we were both all over the map playing from the blue tees (I shot a 99 and my dad carded a 103 which for a 10 handicapper is really bad). But then we went and got him some shoes and he decided to play with the spare Warrior driver I got for free a while back. I guess the smaller head suits him better and the second time we played (again from the blue tees) he shot a 95 while I shot 89. Before the round I announced that I will break 90 that day.

Then 4 days later we went out again. This time it was the day everyone went back to work after the new year break and the place was empty. We had all the time in the world and the place to our selves. We decided that since it had been raining the day before and the course was very soggy to play from the white tees. My dad had a tough time carrying the ravine on the 9th hole the last two times, so this was going to make it a little easier.

I started out by parring the first 3 holes and made the turn in 42. I didn't add it up as I knew I would freak myself out. Then on the back nine I tore it up. I birdied the par-3 11th and the par-4 15th. I ended up at 2 over for the back for a cool 38 and an 80 overall. This is 5 strokes less than my next best score, ever. And 7 strokes better than any score I shot at Bear's Best.
