No updates. I won't update here for a while. I did get to play a couple of times in the past month and shot 88 (The Frog) and 89 (Chateau Elan) which was nice. Wife took up the sport and got some lessons, clubs and shoes. I think she's going to do great and I look forward to playing rounds with her soon.

What a beautiful day we had yesterday. B and M where both sore from playing flag football the day before and were seriously dragging. I was pretty happy with my driving on the front 9 as I was crushing it almost 300 yards per drive and out-driving M who is usually 50 yards past me. WHat I need to do is get my wedge game back in shape. And putting was not that good either. I actually had a 4 putt a hole where I hit the fairway and the green in regulation.

Overall, it was a great day for golf and I can't believe this weather in the middle of December.

I'm going to play The Frog this Sunday. Sweetie is going to the spa and Meemaw will watch the baby. Awesome! It's going to be 70 and clear. Can't wait.

I just got back from Israel where I managed to play three rounds of golf with my dad at Caesarea Golf Club. Three rounds! Can you imagine the excitement? Can you imagine the rust?

Anyway, I only brought my shoes with me this trip so I had to borrow clubs. I used F's R5 Draw Driver, dad's TaylorMade Hybrid, and T's irons, including putter and lob wedge. I love the R5 Draw. It straightens out my slight fade and lets me swing as hard as I want. I crush that thing.

Anyway, the highlight was the last round, where I shot an 83 and beat my dad's 86. Proud moment for me, especially on his home turf. That is one tough track to play too.

Oh well, just a quick update. Probably won't play for a while now.

Nothing to update. I am not playing any golf. Nothing. I even cancelled my Golf Magazine and Golf Digest subscriptions.

So the TPC was all right I guess. I expected to fine a nicer course (something like Sugarloaf). The staff was pleasant and welcoming and the event was well organized. It was a half-scramble format in which the team picks the best drive but then every member needs to hole out. The low two net scores are then combined to give the hole score. We ended up in 29th out of 26 teams, but nobody on my team played very well.

The highlight for me was that I made two birdies. One was even a sandie and greenie. I hit a 9 iron out of a high lipped fairway bunker to about 1 foot for a simple tap in birdie. Most of my drives were good enough to play for the team so if I count my score up this way it got me an 89, which is very nice for not playing in such a long time.

They had some really nice prizes for hole-in-ones, closest to the pin, etc. I actually got an 8'7" closest to the pin award which was a pretty Callaway watch.

Yes, it's been a month and a half since my last golf round and I get to play again. And at the TPC Piper Glen no less. I almost didn't get to go, but plans were changed at the last minute and now I have to go. I hope I can still swing a damn club.
